American Red Cross CPR Classes

The Western CO Area Health Education Center (WCAHEC) is proud to share in the American Red Cross tradition of providing quality education that saves lives. For more than 5 years, WCAHEC has been delivering American Red Cross training in First Aid, CPR/AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

CPR is one of the most important and basic first aid techniques but it is more than just pressing on somebody’s chest. WCAHEC offers basic CPR and First Aid training for the lay person, more advanced instruction for professional healthcare providers, and babysitters training for youth.

WCAHEC offers trainings in both in-person and on-line formats. In person trainings are held in small groups each month in our classroom, and online courses are available anytime. Several trainings have been designed to limit classroom time (Blended Learning) by requiring a combination of on-line course work and in-person skills assessment. We also coordinate on-site trainings for organizations within our 13-county region.

On-line course offerings include:

  • Bloodborne Pathogens Training
  • First Aid for Opioid Overdoses
  • First Aid for Severe Bleeding
  • Cat and Dog First Aid
  • First Aid, Healthy and Safety for Coaches
  • Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector

Classroom and Blended Learning course offerings include:

  • Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED
